Volleyball Recap: South Gwinnett Comes Up Short + How To Watch

South Gwinnett lost against Meadowcreek back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Comets fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2. While the Comets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 25-21 in the first set.

South Gwinnett started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-17, 16-14.

Cydni Walker paced South Gwinnett's offense, picking up 16 kills. Walker got some help from Blessing Onyeanula and her 19 assists. Kayla Masuta controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

South Gwinnett has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season. As for Meadowcreek, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, South Gwinnett will face off against Cristo Rey Atlanta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meadowcreek, they will head out on the road to take on North Gwinnett at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
