It was a good run, but Montverde Academy White unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Montverde Academy Purple Eagles by a score of 56-53. Montverde Academy White was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Montverde Academy Purple earlier this season, when they won 51-37.

Leading Montverde Academy Purple to victory were Dylan Layton and Berke Asti. Layton dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards, while Asti posted 15 points. Asti continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Andreas Cavacas, who earned seven points.

Montverde Academy White's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Montverde Academy Purple, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-9.
