Basketball Recap: Danville Christian Academy Beats Hazard for Their Ninth Straight Win

On Saturday, Danville Christian Academy faced Hazard in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Danville Christian Academy Warriors took down the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs 44-29. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Leading Danville Christian Academy to victory were Titus Boyd and Leek Ateny. Boyd dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Ateny posted 14 points and six boards. Those 11 rebounds gave Boyd a new career-high. Lual Ayiei was another key player, putting up two points along with seven boards and three blocks.

Danville Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Hazard, they moved to 19-2 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Danville Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 56-53 victory against Lyon County on the 26th. As for Hazard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-46 win against Wolfe County on the 28th.
