Basketball Game Preview: Northeast Jones Tigers vs. Mendenhall Tigers

The Northeast Jones Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Mendenhall Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Monday, Northeast Jones came up short against Heidelberg and fell 67-54. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Oilers: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Mendenhall beat Magee 51-47 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Mendenhall is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.1 points. As for Northeast Jones, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Northeast Jones was taken down by Mendenhall 56-21 in their previous matchup back in January. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Northeast Jones was down 44-12.
