Softball Recap: Seminole Gets the Win

While Seminole's win against Greenwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Rangers 10-8. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won four in a row.

Sunni Casarez was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Zaylee Teichroeb was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Seminole kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive matchups.

Seminole's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Greenwood, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-13-1.

Seminole and Greenwood could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Indians will square off against Andrews at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (265 vs. 85). Meanwhile, Greenwood (ranked 345th) will meet Monahans (ranked 159th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
