Basketball Recap: Williams' Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

On Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Williams Bulldogs beat the Vance County Vipers 56-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Several Vipers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Da'Shunti Hester, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Timberlake, who put up 12 points.

Williams' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6. As for Vance County, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.

The future could be bright for both Williams and Vance County: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Williams will look to extend Person's three-game losing streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Vance County will try to hand Granville Central their seventh-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
