Basketball Recap: Seymour Piles Up the Points Against Sports & Medical Sciences Academy

There's no place like home for Seymour, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Sports & Medical Sciences Academy Tigers 76-38.

Skylar Barton went supernova for Seymour, going 11 of 15 on her way to 25 points and five rebounds. Those 25 points gave Barton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Viktoria Michalczyk, who posted 11 points and seven assists.

Seymour smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

Seymour now has a winning record of 2-1.

Seymour won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Derby at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sports & Medical Sciences Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Avon at 1:30 p.m.
