Game recap: Tabernacle High School Football Team wins against Tuscaloosa Christian

COTTONDALE, Ala. - Tabernacle (Gardendale, Ala.) grabbed the lead when Caleb Lindsey thew a touchdown to Tristan Castro with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat Tuscaloosa Christian (Cottondale, Ala.) 40-34 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured four lead swaps.

The Torches saw their 8-point halftime lead decrease to two entering the fourth.

A 42-36 Tabernacle victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

The victory was a step in the right direction for THS, which was coming off a 63-20 defeat at the hands of Victory Christian in its previous game.
