Even though the Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs scored an imposing 76 points on Friday, the Haughton Buccaneers still came out on top. Haughton secured a 81-76 W over Gibsland-Coleman.

Gibsland-Coleman's loss came despite strong showings from DeAvery Durham and Demarquis Durham. Durham scored 35 points, while Durham scored 26 points. The game was Durham's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Rudolph, who scored eight points.

Haughton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Gibsland-Coleman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Haughton and Loyola College Prep will face off on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Loyola College Prep is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. Gibsland-Coleman will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Choudrant at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th.
