Basketball Recap: Miramar Patriots vs. Boyd Anderson Cobras
There's no place like home for Miramar, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 victory over the Boyd Anderson Cobras on Thursday. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 46-43 win the Cobras walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2021.

Miramar had a senior duo take command as Siah Blot went 6 for 9 en route to 19 points and six rebounds and Joshua Skinner went 8 of 13 on his way to 20 points and five boards. The contest was Blot's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Andre Bridges also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Several Cobras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Niteno Pierre, who went 7 for 8 on his way to 15 points. Terrence Walker was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.
Miramar has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Boyd Anderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
Miramar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 76-71 victory against True North Classical Academy on the 18th. Boyd Anderson has also already played their next contest, a 58-54 win against Saint Andrew's on the 18th.
