Volleyball Recap: Payton Michel Key Part of Team Effort in Wildcats Win

Miller City won the last time they faced Jefferson and things went their way on Wednesday too. Miller City blew past Jefferson 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Miller City.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Miller City was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-11.

Miller City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Payton Michel, who had seven digs and two aces. Michel is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 18 games she's played dating back to last season. Katem Schroeder was another key player, getting three digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Miller City was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 25 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Miller City's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
