Williamsville East is a perfect 10-0 against Amherst Central since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Flames will challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Williamsville East will be strutting in after a win while Amherst Central will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, it was close, but Williamsville East sidestepped Williamsville South for a 5-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Flames.

The team relied heavily on Briana White, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Elise Prelewicz was another key player, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Amherst Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against North Tonawanda, falling 17-5. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Sam Jacobia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mimi Rybicki, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Amherst Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Williamsville East, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything went Williamsville East's way against Amherst Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Williamsville East made off with a 14-0 win. Will the Flames repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
