Baseball Recap: Franklin-Simpson's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Franklin-Simpson had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Glasgow Scotties. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.

Franklin-Simpson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Delk, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Layne Alford was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Franklin-Simpson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Glasgow, they dropped their record down to 0-4-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Franklin-Simpson will be playing in front of their home fans against South Warren at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Glasgow, they will head out to challenge Taylor County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
