Basketball Recap: Northridge's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

If Northridge was feeling good fresh off their 66-33 takedown of Grandview Heights last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Northridge Vikings fell 56-47 to the Granville Blue Aces on Tuesday. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Northridge still got an impressive performance from Ava Travis, who posted 19 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Travis' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Naia Moore was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.

Northridge's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Granville, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Northridge will head out to square off against Johnstown-Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnstown-Monroe will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Northridge surely won't give up without a fight. As for Granville, they will host Mt. Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
