Volleyball Recap: Gilroy's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Two + How To Watch

Prospect came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Gilroy, but Bella Gutierrez wouldn't allow it. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Panthers on Thursday with plenty of help from Gutierrez, who had 17 digs and five assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Gilroy who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-11, 18-25, 25-15, 18-25, 25-13.

When it comes to explaining why Prospect lost, don't look at Naaliyah Yap. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs and two aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Gilroy and bumps their season record up to 14-11. As for Prospect, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-10.
