Football Game Recap: Tekoa-Rosalia vs. Selkirk

Everything went Tekoa-Rosalia's way against Selkirk on Friday as they made off with a 48-22 win. Tekoa-Rosalia were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

A silver lining for Selkirk was the play of junior Jay Link, who picked up 120 yards on the ground and accumulated 171 passing yards. In fact, with ten tackles Link was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Ty Taylor, who racked up 13 tackles.

The victory bumped Tekoa-Rosalia's record up to 5-1. The loss dropped Selkirk back to even at 3-3.

Next week Tekoa-Rosalia take on Cusick at 7:00 PM. Cusick are limping into the match on a three-game losing streak. Selkirk will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against Columbia in two weeks at 3:00 PM.
