Hubbard has gone 8-2 against Girard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Hubbard has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Hubbard is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against LaBrae on Thursday. They lost 11-2 to the Vikings. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Layla Songer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Komorek, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Girard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Harding with a sharp 12-2 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won eight matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Brooklyn Broll made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). Broll was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since April 1st.
In other batting news, Girard let Kyra Bell and Gianna Saxon run wild. Bell went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Saxon went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most RBI Bell has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Quinn Wilster, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Girard hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Hubbard's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Girard, they moved to 9-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hubbard hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Girard struggles in that department as they've averaged .375. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hubbard took their win against Girard in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
