Hillcrest entered their tilt with Cornerstone Christian on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Cornerstone Christian Warriors onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The Panthers' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.

Emma Wilson and Alyssah Martinez scored both of Hillcrest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Hillcrest pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Cornerstone Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Coincidentally, Hillcrest and Cornerstone Christian will both be playing Memorial the next time they take the pitch. Cornerstone Christian will head out to face Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hillcrest will head out to face them at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
