Baseball Recap: Gilbert Takes a Loss

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Gilbert nor Airport made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Indians took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Gilbert's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-2. As for Airport, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-4.

While Gilbert had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
