Waukesha South is 0-3 against Brookfield East since April of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Blackshirts will be playing at home against the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. Waukesha South is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Waukesha South fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against West Allis Hale on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies. The Blackshirts just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Waukesha South saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Montez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Brookfield East came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Red Raiders by a score of 9-4. While the Spartans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Waukesha South now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Brookfield East, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
