Soccer Recap: Western Hills Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Benbrook, Western Hills was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Carter-Riverside Eagles. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Samantha J and Jaquelin V scored all three of Western Hills' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

Western Hills' victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Carter-Riverside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Western Hills take on Dunbar at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Western Hills will be up against Dunbar's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.2 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Carter-Riverside, they will venture away from home to face off against Eastern Hills at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastern Hills' last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
