Basketball Recap: Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates vs. Cheraw Wolverines
Genoa-Hugo/Karval was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Cheraw Wolverines, falling 51-25. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 46-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2020.
Despite the loss, Genoa-Hugo/Karval saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ryker Lockhart posted eight points and five steals.
