Baseball Recap: Beyer Takes a Loss

If Beyer was riding high fresh off their 15-9 takedown of Livingston last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beyer Patriots fell just short of the Central Valley Hawks by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Patriots have suffered since April 17, 2024.

Beyer saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Harlan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Beyer's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Central Valley, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

While Beyer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
