Basketball Recap: Escondido Charter Comes Up Short

Escondido Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 81-68 to the Eastlake Titans. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Escondido Charter lost, don't look at Boldyn Rimmer. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten boards. Rimmer's big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Izaak Elias De La Fuente was another key player, going 7-for-12 on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds.

Escondido Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Eastlake, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.

Escondido Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 80-53 loss against Mission Hills on the 29th. As for Eastlake, they have also already played their next contest, a 69-53 defeat against Mt. Carmel on the 29th.
