Basketball Recap: Lyman Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

Lyman came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Gregory Gorillas to the tune of 47-20. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Gorillas are ranked 109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lyman pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Gregory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Lyman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-41 victory against Philip on the 13th. As for Gregory, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-41 defeat against Scotland/Menno on the 14th.
