Basketball Recap: Tahoka Comes Up Short

Tahoka lost against New Home back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tahoka Bulldogs were dealt a 75-24 loss at the hands of the New Home Leopards. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Boston Gonzales was Tahoka's leading scorer, having posted six points. Bek Mccleskey held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Tahoka has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for New Home, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Tahoka will challenge New Deal at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Home, they will square off against Floydada at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Floydada's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 contests.
