Southington extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 17-4 in the process. Everything went their way against the Bristol Eastern Lancers as they made off with an 8-2 victory. Considering the Blue Knights have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Angie Insogna spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
