Southington extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 17-4 in the process. Everything went their way against the Bristol Eastern Lancers as they made off with an 8-2 victory. Considering the Blue Knights have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Angie Insogna spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Reagan Salvatore, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 matchups. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Perugini, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Southington hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bristol Eastern struck out nine times.

As for Bristol Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since May 12th.

On Bristol Eastern's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Beebe, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Looking ahead, Southington will welcome New Britain at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bristol Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
