Volleyball Recap: Gillespie Comes Up Short

The Gillespie Miners didn't have quite enough to beat the Monticello Sages on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Gillespie has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Monticello, they moved to 6-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Gillespie will square off against Pawnee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monticello, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Macomb on the 14th.
