Basketball Recap: Edmond Memorial's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Edmond Memorial lost against Southmoore back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Edmond Memorial Bulldogs fell 54-45 to the Southmoore SaberCats. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the SaberCats are ranked 18th).

Edmond Memorial's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7. As for Southmoore, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Edmond Memorial will be playing in front of their home fans against Putnam City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southmoore, they will challenge Deer Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Deer Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Southmoore likes a good challenge.
