 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mater Academy Charter had no problem doing just that  on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Belen Jesuit Wolverines  6-4. The  win was nothing new for Mater Academy Charter as they're now sitting on four straight.
  Kevin Roque looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched.
 On the hitting side, Mater Academy Charter let  Yodelkis Quevedo and  Brandon Lorenzo loose on the outfield. Quevedo  scored a  run while going 2-for-4, while  Lorenzo  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
 On Belen Jesuit's side, they got a good showing from  Max Aspuru, who   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over four innings pitched. Aspuru has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Belen Jesuit saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ernie Echevarria, who  went 1-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 Mater Academy Charter has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record  this season. As for Belen Jesuit, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 19-8 record  this season.
 As of now, neither Mater Academy Charter nor Belen Jesuit have any future games scheduled.
