Basketball Game Preview: Veritas Academy vs. Brazos Christian Eagles

Veritas Academy will venture away from home to face off against the Brazos Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Veritas Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They breezed by Round Rock Christian Academy to the tune of 66-3. Veritas Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Brazos Christian won against Hill Country Christian School of Austin on Thursday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Brazos Christian came out on top against Texas School for the Deaf by a score of 49-42. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

The victory got Veritas Academy back to even at 14-14. As for Brazos Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Veritas Academy came up short against Brazos Christian when the teams last played back in January, falling 50-40. Can Veritas Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
