Softball Game Preview: Colonial Heights Colonials vs. Prince George Royals

Colonial Heights hasn't had much luck against Prince George recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Colonials will look to defend their home field against the Royals at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Colonial Heights came up short against Dinwiddie and fell 12-7.

Meanwhile, Prince George entered their contest against Dinwiddie last Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Royals lost 12-2 to the Generals. That's two games in a row now that the Royals have lost by exactly ten runs.

Prince George saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Hacker, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Hacker has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Kasey Sulc was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Colonial Heights' loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Prince George, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
