Softball Recap: Rolling Meadows Comes Up Short

If Rolling Meadows was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Lake Forest on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs lost 14-2 to the Hersey Huskies on Wednesday. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Ashlyn Ferguson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Caylee Del Boccio, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Rolling Meadows' defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Hersey, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Rolling Meadows has already played their next matchup, a 14-1 victory against Round Lake on the 26th. Hersey has also already played their next contest (against Buffalo Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
