Baseball Game Preview: Auburn Maroons vs. Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams

For the second straight game, Auburn will face off against Jamesville-DeWitt. The Maroons will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Red Rams at 7:00 p.m.

Auburn fell victim to Jamesville-DeWitt and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Rams. The Maroons haven't had much luck with the Red Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Auburn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Steven Ambroggio, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Jamesville-DeWitt's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Auburn, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-6.
