Volleyball Recap: Spring Lake Park Takes a Loss

If Spring Lake Park was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Irondale last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Mounds View Mustangs on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Spring Lake Park started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-10.

Spring Lake Park now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Spring Lake Park will take on Andover at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mounds View, they will be taking part in a tournament against Apple Valley on Friday.
