Football Recap: Boca Raton Comes Up Short

Boca Raton dropped to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats and fell 47-8. The matchup marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mason Chapman threw for 96 yards and one touchdown. Geron Miller was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Adon Elmon rushed for 27 yards.

As for Royal Palm Beach, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 39 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Royal Palm Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Max Griner, who threw for 247 yards and four TDs on only 18 passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. James Smith was another key receiver, picking up 88 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Boca Raton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-26 defeat against Coral Glades on the 9th. As for Royal Palm Beach, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 31-0 loss against West Boca Raton on the 10th.
