Jazzy Frierson leads Hartsville to victory over Lee Central

Recap: Hartsville Red Foxes vs. Lee Central Stallions

The Hartsville Red Foxes won the last time they faced the Lee Central Stallions, and things went their way on Monday too. Hartsville walked away with a 34-27 victory over Lee Central.

Jazzy Frierson was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Mitchell, who scored eight points along with four steals.

Lee Central's loss came despite strong showings from Hannah Reames and Mylasia Dennis. Reames scored seven points along with nine rebounds, while Dennis scored nine points along with two steals.

Hartsville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Lee Central, their loss dropped their record down to 14-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hartsville will take on West Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Florence will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Hartsville is ranked 38th). Lee Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Marion is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
