Recap: Berlin Redcoats vs. Glastonbury Guardians
The Berlin Redcoats pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 58-55 to Glastonbury, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Berlin has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Berlin still got an impressive performance from Emma Ellison, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds. Ellison has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Brooke Walker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Berlin and nudges their season record down to 7-4. As for Glastonbury, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berlin will take on Bloomfield at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glastonbury, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Southington at 6:45 p.m. on January 19th.
