Recap: Garrett Memorial Christian Saints vs. Arkansas Christian Academy Knights
It was a good run, but the Garrett Memorial Christian Saints unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arkansas Christian Academy. Garrett Memorial Christian has struggled against Arkansas Christian Academy recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Laikyn Mitchell, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Silbi Jones, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Garrett Memorial Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Arkansas Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garrett Memorial Christian will take on Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Arkansas Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Abundant Life at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Abundant Life will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
