Football Recap: Pennington Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pennington). They put the hurt on the Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights with a sharp 50-26 win on Friday. This was payback for the Red Hawks, who suffered a 19-14 loss the last time these two teams met.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Tommy Surtz and Lorenzo Swain. Surtz rushed for 69 yards and one TD while Swain rushed for 48 yards and one touchdown.

Pennington was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

The victory (which was Pennington's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.5 points over those games. As for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Pennington will be playing in front of their home fans against Long Island Lutheran at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, they will head out to take on Blair Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
