Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Shortridge Piles Up the Points Against Herron

Indianapolis Shortridge extended their postseason success on Friday against Herron. They breezed past the Herron Achaeans to the tune of 73-27. The Blue Devils not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 15th.

Indianapolis Shortridge found their leader in sophomore TJ Davis, who went 8-for-17 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for Davis. Another player making a difference was Jordan Yates, who shot 83% from the field to rack up 11 points and seven boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Indianapolis Shortridge and bumps their season record up to 11-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Herron, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season.

Indianapolis Shortridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-55 defeat against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks on the 8th. Herron does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
