Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Sacred Heart's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 55-44 victory over the Era Hornets. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their 30-point performance the match before.

Clayton Bezner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-7 from long range and dropping a double-double on 34 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Jayden Villarreal, who posted 13 points and seven boards.

With the win, Sacred Heart broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6. As for Era, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Sacred Heart won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Collinsville at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Era, they will venture away from home to square off against Tioga at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
