Volleyball Recap: Kerr-Vance Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kerr-Vance Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Albemarle School Colts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 25-13.

Lyla Richardson paced Kerr-Vance Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Richardson got some help from Emma Caudle and her 16 assists. Richardson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Kerr-Vance Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Albemarle School, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Kerr-Vance Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against The Oakwood School on the 26th. As for Albemarle School, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against New Life Academy on the 25th.
