Basketball Game Preview: Excel Christian Academy Eagles vs. Saltillo Lions

The Excel Christian Academy Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Saltillo Lions at 9:20 a.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Excel Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Legacy Academy and lost 61-43. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 18 points.

Despite the loss, Excel Christian Academy got top-tier performance from Paydan Handlin, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Valerie Stapelton, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, Saltillo blew past Chapel Hill, posting a 43-7 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Excel Christian Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Saltillo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.
