Volleyball Recap: Mead Takes a Loss

Mead lost against Auburn back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Raiders came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Raiders have suffered since October 2nd.

Aubree Broekemeier paced Mead's offense, picking up nine kills. Broekemeier got some help from Jersey O'Brien and her 19 assists. Stella Charles controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Emma Hyde had an outrageously good game for Auburn as she had four digs, three aces, and one block. What's more, Hyde racked up 31 assists, the most she's had over her last five matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Casey, who had seven digs and three aces.

Mead is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-17. As for Auburn, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Mead will host Weeping Water at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Auburn, they will face off against Johnson County Central/Lewiston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
