Basketball Recap: Miller Continues Road Dominance on Saturday

Miller extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Dexter Brantley. Everything went the Miller Buccaneers' way against the Alice Coyotes on Saturday as the Miller Buccaneers made off with a 66-42 win thanks in part to Brantley, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 18 points and five steals. He is becoming a predictor of Miller's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 3-1 (and 5-8 when he doesn't).

The team also got some help courtesy of George Simmons, who posted 11 points and five assists. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played.

Miller's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Alice, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miller will face off against Ray at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alice, they will take on Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
