Basketball Recap: Prairie Heights Panthers vs. Central Noble Cougars
The Prairie Heights Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight defeat. They were the victim of a tough 59-36 defeat at the hands of Central Noble. Prairie Heights has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their match on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keegan German, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points German has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lane Yoder, who scored six points along with two steals.
Prairie Heights' defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Central Noble, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie Heights' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Fort Wayne Canterbury presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in Indiana (the Cavaliers are ranked 171st, while the Panthers are ranked 434th). As for Central Noble, they will head out on the road to take on the Lakers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
