Basketball Recap: Jefferson's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Jefferson was the 66-43 winner over Rapid City Central when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jefferson Cavaliers fell 57-46 to the Rapid City Central Cobblers on Friday. The match marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jefferson's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-4. As for Rapid City Central, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Jefferson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Stevens at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rapid City Central, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Roosevelt at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Roosevelt has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
