Football Recap: Jai Phillips Key Part of Team Effort in Raiders Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liverpool, Proctor was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 44-35 win over the West Genesee Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Proctor's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jai Phillips, who rushed for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. Those 100 rushing yards gave Phillips a new career-high. Dennis Allen was another key back, rushing for 110 yards and two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Proctor was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 383 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The win got Proctor back to even at 2-2. As for West Genesee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Proctor is set to face off against their familiar foe Christian Brothers Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, West Genesee will square off against rival Cicero-North Syracuse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
