Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Clair County). Everything went their way against the Lincoln Golden Bears on Thursday as they made off with a 21-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Saints, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Tessa Parvin was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Carman Garner was another key player, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3.

St. Clair County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln only posted a batting average of .250.

The victory was the fourth in a row for St. Clair County, bringing their record up to 22-13-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 20-12-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Clair County will face off against Clay-Chalkville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln, they will take on Boaz in a tournament on Friday.
